Electronics

Today we wot a big, dark red, round carpet in our living room, and it is an excellent dancing carpet, we noticed, listened to Har kommer Pippi Langstrump and danced. I took a few CD:s with us from Finland so Ilma could hear familiar things and Swedish while we are here. We haven't listened to them so much, though, and Ilma was so glad to suddenly hear her favourite song.
We also got headphones for Skype so it won't be that expensive any more to talk to Europe. And as I already was in the big French supermarket Carrefour, I could as well buy a couple of DVD:s. I think they were real, not copies, because their prices were over two euro. I haven't seen that expensive DVD:s here before.
Ilma isn't too happy about going to the kindergarten in the mornings, and she won't sleep there, but otherwise I understand that she is all right. I guess she feels herself lonely, even if the other children are very nice to her as well as the teachers. The teachers say that Ilma can say some things in Chinese but it can't be much. Today when we went down from the appartment she would rather have gone to the water lady downstairs and stayed there. The water lady is someone who is always there in a room with an always open door, she checks the water bills and changes a couple of words with one and other resident passing her door. She has often her grandchild there with her watching TV, and she has also got a husband. Usually when Ilma passes her door the water lady tries to catch her, that is how they have become friends. Unfortunately we don't have a common language, but we can do without somehow. The water lady and I husk sunflower seeds and give them to Ilma, the water lady sometimes strokes Ilma's hair, and Ilma watches children's program with the grandson and his friend.
Normally there are 40 different TV channels without paying extra, but the contract for our appartment begins in January. We can see one channel in English and a few more not so well. From January we will have a whole channel with children's program. But now we have bought DVD:s on Winnie the Pooh, the Teletubbies and a copy of them, some of them speak Chinese, some English. Also a couple of animal films, but the cartoons are much more popular.
